We'll leave a gap in the row this year. Then I'll bring you a photo and point to the gap and say "That should have beenyoursyou, there."
Unless it's blowing a howling gale, of course. They won't stand up long enough to take a picture.

Sounds good but I think the costs/ logistics rule me out at the moment
Oh and I forgo to say have a good one folks!
.If I can scrounge some money for outwards leg I might make it, I'll have a squidge at Scotrail What time are you starting? Ans Doh, 8pm DumbartonTrain ticket to Glasgow from Dunfermline is about 14 ailing molluscs (there's one arriving at 7pm that's less than a tenner).
Train ticket to Dunfermline from Leuchars is also around a tenner.
We wouldn't charge you for the beer![]()
.
However, we can always save you a space for next year.

What time do you approximately get into Leuchars ? I could perhaps cycle home from there.
And what roughly would I need ? Winter 3/4 bibs, gilet, jacket, skull cap, food, lights.
I can't guarantee, as much as I want to, that I'll be around next year.
Cool, I'll have a more detailed look at the Logistics the 18:00 from Waverley gets to Glasgow at 18:50. My Jacket is black.Depart Dumbarton Castle at 8pm, but we've waited in the past (normally at the KFC down the road!)
I'd suggest adding long-fingered gloves to that. And either waterproof socks or overhsoes, if you have them. We hope for good weather but prepare for the worst. It snowed one year. I'll save a jelly baby for you if you come -- what colour is your jacket?

Sounds melodramatic! I hope this is for good reasons rather than bad ones.

Sorry to be melodramatic, I think its just a realisation on my part that I'll have to move to find work, a distinction isn't opening any doors.
)I'll hopefully target an earlier train from Waverley and maybe cycle out from Queen Street to Dumbarton its about 15.5 miles (according to cycle streets); hopefully its simple enough to follow; it looks to be on a cycle path too, so I better pack another spare tube. The cc long sleeve top has not had an outing in a while, I think it and a long sleeve will be appropriate, apparently somewhere round there was -1deg last week (somewhere in Perthshire was -3.3 deg)
Bloody hell, mate. You'll put us all to shame.
You do realise this is basically a very long pootle to the beach in the dark, don't you? We're a bunch of reprobates and ne'er-do-wells who happen to like riding bikes, that's all!

I’m feeling a little better tonight, but still spluttering, and sounding a little horse and husky...
