No, that one had its moments though.

It's this one. Apparently, that is Charlotte Rampling under the veil. Mind you, I did wonder why her needle went 'Ching!' when she brought it towards young Paul Atreides' neck. Even swords don't go 'ching' unless pulled from a metal scabbard, and most scabbards were made of wood or leather.

Dune didn't grab me & I gave up on the book less than 1/2 way through, maybe it's due a revisit?

The original was fantastic. Remakes are hardly ever better, most are worse. We'll have to see where this one ends up.

I read the first three (Dune, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune) way back in the 70's).

A couple of months back I picked up all 3 on a Kindle deal for just over a tenner so I can read them again - bargain!

One of the very few books that I have/will ever read for the second time.

Definitely worth a punt!
