Anyone having a go at the Durham Big Ride on Sunday Sept 1?
It was my first organised ride last year and it was very well, er, organised.
Spoiled only by a few weekend warriors on the 25-mile route who treated it more like a race.
The last few miles are shared with the 10-mile family ride which meant the pretendy racers were hammering past the mums, dads and children on the shorter route.
Other than that, a good time was had by all.
I believe it's possible to enter on the morning, which is what I will be doing, assuming no rain.
