Visited today my TREK dealer in Veldhoven The Netherlands, who is the son of Gijsbert van Herk who was in the sixties to eigthies a bikecylce innovator. Watch these photos:

Ridden a few really short frames BITD. Main problem was smacking your heel on the chainstays or rear mech!

Love it, so very bling!

I wouldn't fancy a 25% gradient on it, it would flip backwards in no time.
Apart from one corner of Limburg, the steepest gradients in The Netherlands are the little bridges over the canals, which is a good job with that cassette - its set up for headwind and tailwind mode!
