Right, I know it's only August but....

In the course of this thread:

http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42204

the suggestion has arisen that we should all kit ourselves out with Christmas trees this year. Not like Christmas trees, but with them. I know poundshops often have little battery LED/fibre optic ones, nearer the time. I reckon as many of us as possible should pledge to fit one to our bikes come the festive season... Or at least fairy lights

We could make it a little competition, see who can have the most stylish/outrageous decoration....

Outdone by a Steve Adams(some may have heard his name) who had a cardboard raindeer on his bike:wacko:
I have thought of putting a rack on my fixed to put a mini xmas tree on, but i suppose i could always put one on the rack hole:becool:

I'm game, but none of this is to be done until a week before xmas! I see some shops have started selling xmas crap already ...

I shall try... I'm not quite sure I can fit a christmas tree on without mucking with my fold (brompton here), but I'll definitely put some tinsel on my handlebars & possibly other extremeties even if I can't find fairy lights the right size/fit.

I suppose I could dangle a little tree off my seatpost....

Or perhaps toy with my front luggage and abuse my folding basket to become a tree holder...

i made a corroplast sleigh for the duch cargo bike,(aka the ark) year before last. it may have been a bit much for the hull scene, who didn't really enter into the spirit of the thing shall we say ;) velocison loved going to school in a sleigh though, even had christmas music pumping out of speakers under the seat via an ipod on the handlebars.....cool ;)
though in terms of 'tinseled up' i reckon i'll be hard pushed to top it this year, but i'll still join in

Love the lights underneath - did you pinch the idea from the local chav Corsa drivers? ;)
