Went into Sainsbury's yesterday at 8.30am to buy two easter eggs but they had already been cleared out to make way for gardening stuff:wacko: .

After two Cadburys Cream Eggs I feel sick .

In common with other similar products, they have shrunk in size so much over the years that eating a Cadburys cream egg these days is no more of a challenge than eating a chocolate out of a tin of Quality Street (strawberry cream preferably). I reckon about 6 cream eggs, or a smallish box of QS, at the one sitting is do-able xx( (perhaps, - I haven't tried).

The UK version of the creme egg has increased in size by 1 gram, however the US version is smaller by about 5 grams

Yebbut; I'm talking about when Cream Eggs WERE Cream Eggs, back in the 70's. They were like easter eggs are today, and they only cost thruppence ha'penny (ask yer Granny) .

Edit. Just saw your link. 39gms in 1977, 40gms today??
Must just be my gob that has grown in relation to the size of cream eggs then!

I knew a lad at Uni who would show off by fitting 3 creme eggs in his mouth. Sadly, he then saw nothing wrong with talking to you...

We had a creme egg each at lunchtime. I can't really eat more than one, my tongue gets tired from licking the gunk out.
