I've only had fruit today. Had some watermelon, a pear and a bunch of grapes for breakfast.

For lunch I just had some pineapple chunks, a cherry bakewell and a banana split.

May indulge in an apple turnover, pack of fruit salads and a frut pie for dinner.

Bakewells, turnovers and pies count as fruit?

Great! I'll sink five pints of cider for my five a day

I've started having fruit salad for dessert a couple of times a week, and have discovered that pineapple is way too strong for me. It tends to dominate the flavour of the whole thing. Watermelon OTOH I can't get enough of.

I carried a banana back and forth in my bag to work for 2 days this week as I never got 5 mins to eat it.

Today I sampled, ok gorged, a tin of rambutans stuffed with pineapple. It were great:biggrin:

I've just rescued two bananas from my Camelback Mule that weren't consumed a fortnight ago. They weren't in good shape.

If there is any mention of the word "fruit" or any specifically named item of fruit in the label then it's fruit and counts as your 5 a day! Even if the word is spelled slightly wrong like it is in "Tooty Frooties"!!!

Programmatically, you are incorrect.

The != compound symbol is a binary comparator rather than a unary operator.

The correct unary operator in this situation is the bitwise ~ operator.

Therefore, the correct expression is high_fibre = ~constipation

(Puts on tin hat to protect against protracted beating)

In Perl != is a logical comparator and =~ is bitwise comparator.
!= would be used to check if something isn't equal to something else "fish" != "chicken"

=~ would be used to do a bitwise NOT, so $n = ~0110 would make the variable $n = 1001.

I guess it depends on what language and style you do it in.

However, if using normal ascii values, you have said high_fibre equals:
£ÉæîïûÅ×ïûÉæ

Okay forget tin hat, I need a bloody bunker to protect from my beating:laugh:

EDIT: have to be careful though, =~ can also be used in regex's to compare strings within other strings.

Do you get that REALLY empty feeling in the morning after a bloated evening? I have to be so careful what I snack on otherwise I'm so hungry the next morning that I'll eat anything that's fast and easy and the whole bad food cycle starts again!
