I'm a cynical soul at the best of times, but I don't overlook the fact that some of the previous incidences could just be people who are not very bright or have had too many friday night beers! Having said that I always err on the side of caution. Where there is one there is another so it does not worry me if I have to lose out on an item.

This is a scam. A Roubaix caught my eye, looked genuine and close to home. Seemed to be one of those 'bought, used, don't want to do it anymore sales', the description matched perfectly to the photo, even down to the Roval Fussee Star (now rare) wheels, the DA groupset and S-Works cranks.
I made an enquiry, and had an email saying please contact direct via this email account.
Out of scepticism and general 'buyer beware principles' I Googled the email address, and all of the UKash stuff came flooding out from Police press releases etc, oddly relating to hi-fi equipment, but warning consumers that this is very much a scam.
I reported to the selling website where the item was advertised, but never got a reply. The following day, a new advert, with the same location (oddly a B&B type place), for a Venge appeared....
As they say, if its looks to good to be true....!

Yes.. As the old saying goes "theres one born every minute" As to ebay some times it seemed that people get into bidding wars I have put stuff on with a buy it now price and also a start price lower amount; only to find that as the ebays rules seem to remove the buy it now price once a low bid has been mad. But sometime the bidders go way over the top of the buy it now price and really surprize me on the final amount, though if you were to put the price you got for it on an identical item it never seems to go!
Its a mystery?

can I suggest you remove the link from your posting. No good can come from it being here.

(possibly no bad, either, but just to be safe)
For God's sake why? Do you work in Health & Safety ?

I'm not really sure if you are serious, but ... It's a scammers site. There may be malware on it. The fact the link is here could push it up higher in google search. Someone might click is somehow and not realise it was a scam.

Which is all very well if there was any value at all in the link being there. But there isn't.
