hi, my emtb is fitted with Shimano Deore M6100, 12-speed chain, closing on to 500 miles it shows almost 0.6 wear, so ready to change. looking up this chain, it is not ebike specific, the motor is mid torque (50nm), would it benefit the kmc ebike range? (e12 turbo ept) or just stick to the same chain as it is not too expensive? the only thing i don't like about it is the noiy clack sometimes when it shifts under load, being an ebike i'm not sure if there are other alternatives to make it shift smoother. thanks

Unless the ebike specific chain is not much more expensive, I'd probably go with a normal 12 speed chain from a good brand and a reputable supplier (a lot of "branded" chains are apparently counterfeit). 50Nm isn't enormous so I wouldn't worry about it. The chain might be ebike specific but the cassette isn't and that's getting the same force through it.
But try not to shift under load, just from mechanical sympathy. The clack is the chain meshing with the sprockets under a lot of force. Back off the force on the pedals for a second before shifting and you'll probably find there's much less noise. If you were riding a pushbike hard out of the saddle you wouldn't want to shift with all your force on the cranks. Some ebike controllers will automatically back off the torque for a shift but many don't
