In my opinion the coach drivers in Scotland* are amongst the worst of the worst!
*I'm not saying they are Scottish by the way!
That may be so but I got there and home unscathed unlike some coach passengers lately not going to Scotland.

Never quite sure whether you should thank drivers for doing what they should do anyway by law/under the h-way code, but I guess an acknowledgement of their patience is a nice gesture.
I was road testing a Nirone 7 yesterday (very nice ride BTW) and came upon a blockage in the road, i thanked an SVM (silver van man) for giving me plenty of room and he gave me a very cheery wave as he went past - i think that thanking people when i'm in the car or on the bike goes a long way and should be encouraged.Never quite sure whether you should thank drivers for doing what they should do anyway by law/under the h-way code, but I guess an acknowledgement of their patience is a nice gesture.

I sometimes thing that ... when I'm feeling particularly grumpy - but I think it is polite to thank people - it spreads good feeling. Similarly the opposite occurs - when I pull in as it is easier for me on a bike to let a car pass in a narrow parked up road and it isn't acknowledged makes you think it isn't appreciated and why should I bother.Never quite sure whether you should thank drivers for doing what they should do anyway by law/under the h-way code, but I guess an acknowledgement of their patience is a nice gesture.
What editing software do you use? It adds some, let's say, unusual effects to the video...E-mail sent to say thanks.
Had a good day in the saddle yesterday, lots of good courteous drivers about!. Must be the good weather!
I can imagine if they do commit offenses it will be difficult to track them down once they leave the country. Its hard enough to prove offenses on people who live here.Maybe we ought to get them training foreign drivers? as IMO foreign wagons are some of the worst drivers out there.
I agree some of the best drivers I see are lorry drivers and shockingly WVM seems to get a unfair bashing from my experience. If only all drivers were expected to drive to the same standards as lorry drivers are required to.
