I often wonder if it's you driving a truck! Are you all over the place, or mainly local?

Mammoet, of course, that's another. I love the way that massive high tech thing is still having to run over odd blocks of wood and stuff. I like seeing unusual loads.

All I ever do these days is Gloucester to Cannock and back, twice every night. Easy but a bit dull, I'm starting to miss the days when I was out four nights a week and parked up anywhere from Scotland to Cornwall every night.

Well I never. I have a new thing to look for.

A new lorry to avoid getting mowed down by you mean??

Up here it is Galt Transport (actually I play(ed) with Alan Galt in the local Curling club (yes, I really do Curl!), and his kids were in the year below me at School, gowd I so fancied the girl!). Also, we have the likes of W.H. Malcolm, which incidentally, have, or had, diversified into railway traffic just like Stobart did!

I cannot really comment on others seeing long distance journeys on the motorway for me is rare these days, except for Oban Timefreight or whatever its called, you know, the light blue lorries?

Just for you MBD

There making a film of Eddie Stobarts life. It looks good; I've seen the trailer.

I was in England last week for a few days: I was with my brother driving west along the M4 on Wednesday and spied an Eddie Stobart driver without a tie!!!

It was the day ES was taken ill, so I suppose it was either out of respect/sympathy or he thought he'd chance his luck!

If you drive around Gloucester you'll probably have heard of Joseph Rice and seen their lorries about, but you will no longer, they have recently gone to the wall. Having just written that I imagine you would already know it. I'll post it anyway.

(Though I'm a bit of a Preston's of Potto man....)

I detoured on a ride in the North York Moors to visit Potto, having often wondered where it was. A really small village with the truck depot a couple of miles down the road the biggest thing there.
