The Guildford Arms and the Cafe Royal are next door to each other, and definitely worth a visit.

Well back from Edinburgh safe and sound, but what a wash out in terms of pubs. Got turned away from so many because we were in a group! Even on day times when they were empty, you think they would have been glad of the business.
Even in the grassmarket we didnt have much joy. The only place that welcomed us was the three sisters in cowgate and biddy mulligans in the grassmarket.

Secret of group pub crawls is to approach in ones and twos from different directions and times so the bouncers don't clock you as a group... addict- go back immediately until you get it right!
