It'll be tax when VED charges are brought in for zero emission vehicles. The more efficient we become on wheels, the more the need increases to plug the revenue gap.

Are you sure...? You might want to read the papers today quoting him and his senior MPs. He heavily implied it, twice. In addition, several of his shadow cabinet members out and out said it and he made no move whatsoever to correct them.

Forgive me, I'll go no further down that one as its political.

Anyway, as for any new EU regs they'll have to move quickly else we will indeed be gone before it comes along. Or not. Maybe. Perhaps.
