So it took 9 weeks but we've finally got there....

Don't know if this will work but hope so.

Please meet Ellie.

9 - 12 months (but going on 6 years) old Heinz 57 but more lab/collie/staff!!! Found for us by my parents on Friday and we collected her yesterday (without even seeing her). Got the house check sorted for 9.30 a.m. and we got her at 10.30 a.m. As soon as we saw her, we knew she was the one and she is a bloody tonic!!!

So far she has been as good as gold, despite bad kennel cough, which seems to have gone a lot better after a good bath and loads of fuss.

Likes: Food, playing, dogs, people, walking, fuss, fuss, fuss, fuss
Dislikes: CATS (oh dear..... that's a shame)

Brilliant on lead and we have been playing 'let's leave Ellie on her own and then see how much fuss she gets when we come home and then she will start to know we WILL come home' today. Tiring but it's all gone well.

Starting training classes this week, not that she will need a lot but will be good for all 3 of us.

Thanks Uncle M. She is an absolute star. Lying right be me as I type after a good hours walk. I don't know who is more knackered - haven't been used to it for 2 years and it feels GREAT!!!!

Babes, I haven't PM'd because I wanted to make sure she wasn't a nutter in angel's fur. It's all going lovely so far, apart from the kennel cough and sickness yesterday. Then again, it's to be expected, what she has been through.

Oh and she has 'been clean' over the park today in front of us which is a breakthrough. Since we got her, it's been as though she is scared to toilet anywhere, which was a worry.

We've already started recall and retrieve and she's a quick leaner.

Thanks Lisa, Ellie sends love to Millie!!! We be on cloud nine! Unfortunately, I'm at work tomorrow but it gives OH time to bond too which is good. I've had her to myself all day which was great, apart from the scarey moment with the Doberman! Eeeeekkkkkkkk!!!!
