All scams, delete the lot. Fed up with clearing this sort of thing from my spam filter - it's clogged !.

Not really.

You said that there is evidence of these charges being upheld by courts. I challenged that, you cannot supply proof of your statement. All that is being reported is that Vodafone have invoiced some customers for calls, some have paid, some have challenged. There's no reports of any of these going to court, and the court forcing the customer to pay.
The person in the quoted case didnt have to pay as Vodafone backed down eventually

Change to another operator which will provide a credit limit. (not applicable to PAYG though)

My Virgin Mobile pay monthly contract provides huge amounts of service for my tenner, and then I have a credit limit of £10 set on it so any non-contract payments can't go over that. (Uses EE who claim to have better coverage than Vodafone.)

Amazing if Vodafone won't set credit limits, that alone would make me not use them.

Both my smart phone and dumb one allow me to block calls and texts from specific numbers and also unidentified calls, so worth a look to see if any scammy texts can be stopped that way.
