Yes it was funny bizarre, I was a little wet to start off with, after a rouge wave got me earlier in the day while paddling. So it wasn't that big of a deal being a little wetter, 10 mile later into the wind I was fully dry. It was just the ignorance that got me.
In hind sight I am more annoyed at myself, it was obvious this was a complete idiot, he looked like an idiot, drove like an idiot, was half my age, twice my size and looked like he would attack at the drop of a hat. So why did I need to tell him what I thought? little surprise when he jumped out of the car when I shouted "are you some sort of f****g idiot" There was never going to be any profit or benefit from him hearing my views
This is so true, for many years I was in a moutain rescue team, and in times of civil emergencies such as flooding and deep snow the police would get us out to assist, as we had a couple of properly equipped land rovers. And otherwise very sane people would do the most extraordinary things, you can tell people till youre blue in the face that a road is impassable, then when your back is turned they set off into the deep water and destroy their cars then need towed out. And then theres the clowns who come out especially to test their 4x4s and also get stuck. I think youre right water can have a very strange effect on people
