Endomondo challenges - where are they going?

Sorry, Just the commutes and work from Wednesday, using Endomondo more live at the moment when my battery doesn't die.

I'll also apologise in advance, planning a 70mile ride for tomorrow.

I just took a peek at the current 'CycleChat closed challenge: CC members and friends only' to see how I was doing and was amazed to see I'm in the top ten!

So I had a look at some of the other contenders and some of them appear to not have any workouts showing for August, which I don't understand, but then I never have been the fastest knife in the ocean. Isn't this challenge about how many miles members cycle in August?

Ah, they have got their actual workouts hidden, even from friends, but the stats still feed in to the challenge.

Noticed 2 things

1. Endomondo is now (since end of July) recording the weather on your workouts
2. Trio is slacking again! Upload some rides, girl, so I stop thinking I'll catch up today :-)

Om the whole it is up to date as I am using it live mainly. Just a couple of rides from this weekend to put on. Still getting fitness back so not doing quite as much as before! But loving commuting again.

The challenges are a bit pointless when the same mega-mile folks are in every one. That said, it's just a bit of fun - I now know who I do similar miles to so I just keep an eye on them for a little extra motivation

Have it set to cycling only too, not just any sport. this is a Cycle Chat group on Endomondo, not a running, walking to the shops, swimming, and any other activity that you can set Endomondo running to.

Or have 2? one for cycling only and one for all sports (only because I like walking/hiking too, ha, ha)

Both challenges are open to all sports, as long as you're out there grinding blood sweat and tears in to the ground/river/trail, it doesn't matter what you're doing

The trouble is, there is no "cycling" activity: there's cycling sport, cycling transport, and mountain biking.

So you can't restrict it to cycling.
