Took advantage of the good weather this morning and went for a 23 miles ride. As usual, I set up my endomondo and made sure I had good signal, put the phone in my rear left pocket and off I went. When I got back, endomondo had stopped working, so no record of my ride. Luckily, my back up is my bike computer so no harm there.
What I have noticed though is that when I wear this particular jersey, I have had problems with endomondo if I put the phone in my left hand pocket but not in the middle pocket. I assume that I must switch it off accidentetly by body movement which does not apply when the phone is in the middle.
That only happens with this jersey as the back is longer than my other jerseys.
Do you ever have technical problems caused by the clothes you wear?

If i don't lock the screen on my galaxy then it is guaranteed that endomondo will get paused/call my mum.
What kind of phone do you have?

Now, see, I didn't realise you could run Strava and Endo at the same time!

The only time I've had endo freeze up was the other day when I was trying to check the map to see where to go (my GPSr has been poorly, just got a referbed one back today), but that caused my phone to reboot.

Gavroche, do you lock your screen with the password/pin/pattern or do you just rely on the 'swipe to unlock'? If the latter try changing to the former. Another thing I do with my Galaxy Ace is push the button to minimize endomondo before locking the screen so if the screen does get unlocked it shouldn't cause a problem for endomondo.

My screen locks automatically if I dont use the phone for some time. What do you mean "minimise endomondo"? What button?

The big button at the bottom of the phone (in the center), normally this closes apps but with endomondo it minimizes it to the taskbar (at the top of the screen).
To lock the phone you just need to tap the button on the right hand side (which is also the power button).

Hope this helps (I've gotta go get my daughter so will expand more later if need be)

I have had issues with GPS being dropped on my phone, which then affects both Strava and Endomondo. I changed to a Garmin (cheapo) Edge 200 and have had far fewer issues.

Never had a problem with endomondo but strava never records a full ride on my android so I just download gpx file from endo and upload it to strava or if the times are rubbish I just delete it:thumbsup:

My iphone lasts for about 4/5hours on Endomondo, but I now use my garmin for big rides and transfer the .GPX to Endomondo.com for my facebook page :shy:

Endomondo crapped out on me yesterday for the first time, Strava worked perfectly fine.

Never had issues with the clothes I wear. One thing that may? be happening is you're putting the phone facing you, your skin may be unlocking, closing stuff, draining battery whilst you have it in your pocket. I've always put my phone facing outwards in my jersey pockets.

Just some food for thought, my Galaxy S3 lasted 8 hours of Music/Endomondo + Strava running. Had 8% battery left after that.
