So no one owning up tp be Sam Low?

He said he didn't do many miles in May because it was raining a lot in Scotland so he was hoping to "get out more".

I saw that on the yearly challenge Jeff Jeff Jeff took a pop, saying 6+ hours a day was extreme as it was lol. I get the impression he joins as many challenges as possible, being nosey he left home at 3.30am one morning to arrive at work 8am to do a really really extended commute of 60+ miles all round the houses, must be mad!

Loz is the only cyclist on here near him on the weekly figures and he is cycling through France at the moment doing 60-100 miles a day.

seldom look over on the CC charts but really pleased for Loz and looking forward to his match report, looked like a lovely ride. He looks like he done really well. Quite fancy doing something like that myself, just put off by having to carry loads of stuff.

Having finally got my arse in gear and deciding I better get some rides in before the dun run I have started logging my rides this year. Am I right in saying that the total is based on rides done in a 7 day period ?

I can get about 7 hours worth of GPS tracking on my Galaxy Ace with the free Endomondo:
- screen brightness to lowest setting
- airplane mode

Hi guys i am Sam low, stay in Renfrew in Scotland,my wife teaches spin in the erskine sport centre and linwood centre, 1 class Monday,2 classes Sunday and 1 Friday , we used to do it every night but I found cycling so much better, some says I was trying to keep up with number one, ferdi he's a pal and we have a bit of a go at each other, he can get more miles than me because he is retired and used to be a team cyclist in his former hay day, me I'm just a humble warehouse manager that works 5 days and cycles a bit,yes I got up at 3 and did 60 before work, that's the day my wife doesn't work so instead of getting up at my usual time 5.45 I sneak out not to wake my family and do a bit of cycling the roads are very quiet and it's easier than dodging cars and it sets me up for a busy day in the warehouse,I only started cycling about 1 year ago because of cycle to work thingy but found it was great so started doing more and more but I always leave time for my family home by 7 at night and it's always spent with my wife and daughter my other child well he works and goes to the gym so we catch up when he gets back from work at 10 pm. Well that's Sam low just a plain guy who found cycling great fun, and Endomondo makes it even better because you meet so many great people. Hope you all have a great day . Oh and just finished a 100 miles today just for the fun of it as the weather was a bit better but very windy

I am rather dissappointed that the monthly challenge has deteriorated into a my mate can do more than your mate so he is going to join slanging match, even though the people joining are unlikely to be members of the forum and the title reads "Monthly mileage challenge for members of the CycleChat cycling forum"

Too much e-backslapping and not enough cycling!
EDIT: Wow, just noticed all these new randomers - I see what you mean Hacienda :-/
I'll keep logging, but cycling will be down as I'm starting to cross train with jogging in prep for a Tough Mudder in November.

Must admit I am now only using Endomondo out of a kind of duty, I barely bother looking at the Chaleenges now and enjoy Garmin as it is lifetime data and great for extracting data for certain dates and Strava as it is fun and after all fun is what it is all about!
