Broad's on form, thank goodness. Amla and de Villiers at the crease. Key moments for the game now.

There will be plenty of naysayers making comments that, without Steyn and Philander, SA were there for the taking. But an away series win against the #1 ranked team in the world is not to be sniffed at

Beaten Australia and now SA. Batting line up looks the dogs now. Vey encouraged by the fact that England haven't relied upon an ageing Anderson to get the wickets. Would be nice in the final dead rubber to rest a couple and bring in tomorrow's men like Woakes

Chacon a son gout! I can tolerate him, and love him like an old antique, but the number of gaffs he makes are turning him into the Phil Liggett of cricket.
I particularly like Simon Mann's style of enthusiastic but knowledgeable amateur, commentary. A breath of fresh air and nicely understated humour.

To be honest I know less than nothing about cricket, apart from Yorkshire are brilliant and Boycott should have his Yorkshire passport revoked, so any gaffs go over my head anyway.

Edit: Also like Phil Liggett, I know less about pro cycling than I do about cricket, so I can live with his gaffs as well. TDF coverage wouldn't be the same without him for me.

And at key points of the game, England managed to find players who could take the game away from SA. Remember that it was only today that the whole game was still in the balance. Broad, Root, Stokes were outstanding.

I'm with you - particularly Hales and Compton. Sir Denis would not have approved.

Edit: I see he had a CBE not a knighthood. Sorry.

No Middlesex fan would complain if Denis got a posthumous knighthood. A splendid servant for County and country with a 50+ score on average every third innings.
