Ive just been watching the appalling scenes from Englands U21 game in serbia and couldn't believe what I was watching,Serbia have a history of racially abusing opposing players and hooliganism and have always escaped with a pitiful fine I think an International ban should now be imposed as no one should have to put up with that disgusting behaviour

Erm.... shouldn't this be on a cheese-rolling forum?

It was depressing to hear about this incident. It leaves a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I hope FIFA do take strong actions aganst the Serbian team (wishful thinking that anything could be done about their fans). With any luck, Danny Rose's red card will be rescinded, but maybe that's wishful thinking too.

Bunch of little girls running around playing drama queens.........A lot of 'fans' shouting abuse....so where's the story.......?

If I aren't mistaken, that sort of behaviour happens at most top level matches and is seemingly encouraged anyway.

Team 1 fans chant and take the p*** out of team 2. Then team 2 fans return the compliment.

Fans around the country/world copy this thuggish behaviour whilst watching the match on TV in pubs...................

Just gets a little tiring for me after 4 decades of the same excuses by 'real' fans that it is a minority that cause trouble.

Bo*****s is it.

Thousands of them chant vile things at each other week in week out and then expect to be seen as normal.

The story is that people have the right to not be racially abused in their workplace.

Let me tell you a true story from your neck of the woods - Boothferry Park.
I was on the terraces there and found myself on the receiving end of racist chants and had rubbish thrown at me from 'fans' a few tiers up...and I was supporting The Tigers, too.
Racial abuse is unacceptable whether you're on the terrace or on the field.

Recently Liverpool fans and United fans where asked not to sing Munich 58 and hillsbourgh songs at each other which again Is just not on but I think its a minority rather than the majority who do these vile things.

I wouldn't set foot in a football stadium if you paid me.

Football is vile. The players are vile and far far from being role models. Im fed up of it taking up news air time when there are for more important things going on in the world. Id rather a son of mine be a drug dealer than take an interest in that shite... Over paid prim donnas every single one.

Watched the video, looked pretty 50:50 to me. Admittedly, I cannot understand the commentary and some of the action may well have been off camera. But, racism is not unique to the Serbia. Perhaps some of the English players should look to sorting out their own standards before pointing the blame overseas.

Oh no, that can't be right....according to some forumites it's just my imagination that 'fans' regularly hurl abuse at one another (let alone dream up lyrics about horrible disasters to chant at one another)

They have to be asked not to sing offensive songs about deaths of opposing fans/players?

Someone trying to instill a modicum of empathy in the thugs?

Funny how they'll see sense if it's their own they are concerned about?

Minority my bottom.

Err.....yes.........but why do you feel the need to tell me?

I know it is unacceptable.........what I am saying is ANY abuse is unacceptable.

And when this abuse happened, I take it the 'majority' of good, kind, non-racist fellow fans told the minority to shut up?
