Unbelievable. And now they've brought Heskey on, who FAMOUSLY can't finish. Rooney shouldn't be on the pitch, he's had a bad tournament and has given little to England. Why wasn't he taken off and Crouch put on? He's clearly injured or just isn't playing at his best.

That is simply wrong. Germany are usually regarded as consistent but unimaginative - a team which grinds out well-planned wins on the basis of an experienced, strong defence. This of course is a stereotype. I based my comments on the facts. This is the youngest squad Germany have had for some time - and you only have to see the way they have played, which is with some daring - it didn't pay off against Serbia, but against teams that have been poor defensively, as Australia were, and as Britain have been today, they have been irresistable.
