The story I like about Wasps (if it`s not true, it ought to be) concerns the formation of the RFU in 1871. Apparently representatives of 21 clubs....many of which are now defunct, met at a watering hole in London, some time in 1871. Absent however, the story goes, was the representative from London Wasps, who had gone to the wrong venue, and was too inebriated to care after a while.
