Many congratulations to you both.At the last count there were 19,524 members requiring invitations^_^
We are planning on asking guests to provide/assist in creating the day to reduce the workload on us and keep our/my stress levels acceptable.
One of the tasks is sorting out the invites so many thanks for stepping forward on that one. Each invite will be a lino print of a steam traction engine, and hand written. Cheers!

Now, who's going to volunteer to prepare the 700 tonnes of cheesy-pineapple-on-sticks?

No, no, I think he just meant he wouldn't happy with just a reception invite!

Fossyant, we haven't decided on the wedding location yet. To some extent, it depends on whether we get married before or after I've moved (the plan is for me to move in with NT, once his house is finished). If I've already moved over there, then a wedding in York seems less logical.

(on an economy point, it's marginally cheaper to marry at Salford Registry office than York, and quite a lot cheaper to get the Salford Registrar to attend an approved venue than the York Registrar. Can you believe, it can cost over £400 to get the York Registrar to attend a venue in central York (possibly as little as a 5 min walk from the office)? That's over and above the venue's own hire charge, and the standard charge for the marriage licence. £400 for one person to work a quarter of a mile from their normal place of work. :headshake:)

I think you're being a bit too dry. Play nicely. I've promised you velvet knickerbockers.

I'm thinking of 16 pageboys, holding a 20 foot long train. You can bring that from your model railway....

I don't understand, why is Night Train a Maker of Things Betrothed to Arch and how many things is she betrothed to, one of which things, appears to be Night Train, which seems a bit harsh..

No really, many congrats. This must be the first CC wedding.

I ran out of characters for punctuation in the title! ^_^

There is only me betrothed to Arch but she still thinks there is something going on between me and Beryl!
:giggle:

ETA: Sorted the punctuation now, had too many spaces.

Now, you have to explain who Beryl is... Go on, post a photo, I know you must have one.

Crackle, I think you might be right about it being the first intra-CC wedding - I think Baggy and Chuffy were back in the C+ days?

Maybe regional groups should get together and have street parties....

This is Beryl, Arch's company car.

I like Beryl. Every time I am over at St Nick's I spend a little time with Beryl. Sometimes Beryl and I even get to be alone in her lock up! I sometimes get to prod her batteries and look underneath her sills.

I preferred the first version, it had a certain puzzled mystery to it. More of a telegram than a sentence, apt for the circumstance.
I'll change it back!

£400 that is rather a lot of money. 18 years ago my sister got married for a grand total of £35 or something near at a registry office in Bolton.
