Essex to London

Not geting on to bad with it as it goes.

I was out in that really bad weather that we had on Tuesday. The way i look at it is that if i could do it tuesday i dont think we are likely to have a day when it rains more than that.

I have only had my bike for just over two weeks. I got it from Cycle Surgery in london. Have fitted clip in pedals and a nice set of carbon bar ends.

So can you use same side of A13 there and back?

My dads still in Severn he runs UPR FC .Did you go to Hall Mead?

You are lucky you could use the A13 or A11.

Have been wondering for a while which would be better as both A13 and Romford Road are nearby.S'pose I'm looking at which would be the safest route!

The CP along Longbridge Road is fine. Although people park on it all lot the road is wide enough for that not to be a problem. Unfortunately it is not all like this -

I can't comment on the ride past Barking as I have always done the A13 between there and the City.

Last year the London Freewheel did a ride from Gidea Park Station to Victoria Park. I am going to do that this year (if it runs) to see what route they use.

Q- Where do you join the A13?

And if you find out about the freewheel from Gidea Park could you inform me as i'd be interested.

As for Hall Mead i left in 1982 probably changed a bit since then!

I'm part kidding; I have the shirt but it doesn't have the "Essex Chapter" bit!

There were a couple of orders for CycleChat shirts earlier in the year and I think Will1985 was heavily involved. I don't know if they're doing any future orders, but there were some shirts sent back to the company that made them because they had left a letter out ("friedly iinstead of "friendly"). They may have some left. I have one - they're a collectors item! I'll see if i can dig out the details.
