I did this event in 2016 and again in 2017. Its a stunning ride, the hill is a brute but its a great feeling to get to the top. As you near the top you will hear the piper welcoming riders to the end of the climb. Its an awesome sound!

Hope you enjoy it. Ive signed up for the Etape Caledonia instead this year but expect to do the Loch Ness run again sometime.

Etape Caledonia is a lovely ride too - I did it in 2016. Not the hilliest, but great scenery.

Not long now until Loch Ness. How’s everyone’s training going? Were well behind due to the weather. Thankfully the indoor trainer has kept me pedalling this spring. Hopefully the weather is good.

Hideously under-trained here.... Did my back in in October (Slipped disc/Sciatica), so struggling a bitty

May come in behind the Broom Wagon at this rate

Hoping the weather's kind too, we had some serious snow a couple of years back for it...

  8. I have to use a ferry to get to Inverness - gateway to my trips south.

Few riders from here (Stornoway - Hebridean CC) riding the event.

WOW!!! By that time last year I don't think I had even got to Fort Augustus, never mind gone up the hill!!! Respect to him, but I bet he wishes he'd slowed down a bit to enjoy the scenery more
