I'm obsessed with the new Renault 5s. And one will be mine when they're a bit cheaper. In yellow.
Sadly I've only seen about three so far and keep bumping into the same Alpine that I'm not interested in whatsoever.
C'mon people buy that car so I can buy it off you in a year or two.

Saw a black one the other day around here, they do look pretty smart.

Saw one of those Renault 5 EV's in Ashton Under Lyne a couple of weeks back in a vivid metallic green, there was something quite appealing about it

My MINI Electric is due for replacement in May next year and the R5 is a strong contender. I’d love to go for the Alpine but pennies are tight in retirement. I’ll see if there are any used ones around next year.

I watch a YouTube channel, where the guy mainly repairs Renault Zoes EV. The galvanic corrosion is very very bad on parts of the motor bay mounting frames.

How old are the Zoes though ? They have been around a good while ?

You would think that galvanic corrosion, it's causes & how to stop it occurring, would be common knowledge for engineers & designers in this day & age, obviously not at Renault!

If was to have one I’d lease over 2 or 3 years so I don’t think that would be an issue.

I do really like them but not quite enough range, and a bit too small as our main car

Tesla model S have a problem when owners fit aftermarket tow bar kits- usually made out of steel, the Model S being aluminium body.

One of the reasons I haven't fitted one to my Model S

Wednesday 10th

During a short break in Norfolk. we had a trip to Norwich
We were told there's a 'Park & RIde', & the closest to our location/easiest travelling was at Sprowston

To our surprise, it was £3 return, then.....
When we got on, the driver told us it was £2 return, as we were together, a 'Duo' as he phrased it!!!
(the only car-park we saw was about £6 for 3 hours!!)

And, it was an electric bus!!

Looks very similar to a lot of Vauxhalls. And a 44kwh battery ? Is it a very small car ?
