Evans Trafford Park - why do I bother

Both my shorts and leggings are worn out, so I went into the local Evans's today to see what I could buy to replace them. From a shop floor which could probably accommodate half a football pitch, I had the grand choice of 2 styles of bib legging and 4 styles of bib shorts.

That's two small chrome racks of essential clothing in a supposedly specialist cycling retailer. The last time I went in, to buy some new brake blocks (Tiagra calipers), the lad there didn't know which blocks would fit. I told him to forget it and bought them from CRC instead.

The weather is already getting colder, these places should be stuffed full of winter clothing by now. Oh well, back to CRC/Wiggle.

Yeah I went in on Saturday with a friend who is looking for his first road bike..
Shop was very busy but with no staff!! We walked out in the end..
Have heard it's one of the most profitable Evans in the country !!

Evans are in the middle of the summer-winter changeover I think as they were selling off all the summer stuff last time I was in the Deansgate branch.

BTW, I agree the Trafford park store isn't great, I bought a bike there, but only because I knew what I wanted.

I've been in there a couple of times and it was not good. I found the Deansgate shop far better.
