Put your hand behind your back and open/close for a minute. Relieves the pain/numbness from the ulner nerve in no time.
Try and improve your overall posture/fitness so you are not putting so much weight onto your hands.
I know from experience .... It will get better

I think the cycling at the Olympics inspired us all. It has certainly given me added impetus. I too noticed a similar pain in my right hand a few days ago. I am not sure if it is just pressure from leaning on the dropped handlebars or, perhaps the reach for the brake leavers. The rain has kept me off my bike yesterday and today and there is no pain just now at all so I am sure it will fade over time for us both.
