Evening meal.

More idle wondering.

From the 30 minute recipe thread it seems the Noodley and Skud households eat early.

It was always after seven for us as for as long as I can remember.

Around 6pm for the Admin household.

Although on occasion our normal routine will get disrupted and we'll have a much later, continental evening meal around 8-9pm.

Usually 7ish for us, though 5 days in every 2 weeks I am working late shift where I have 'break' at 6pm.

Weekdays - about 5pm. Weekends - about 6pm. This is generally because at weekends we're not in rushing mode!

Usually between 6 and 7.30. Normally I'm cooking to the Radio 4 comedy, and eating to the Archers.

I think he was trying not to confuse the southerners who eat 'Dinner' at teatime, and 'lunch' at dinnertime

Nearer 8pm in our house. I do not usually get home till around 7pm and sometimes later.

But, I note that if we go out to eat at 8pm here, the restaurants are rather empty as the Italians tend to eat much later. We met up for a cycle club meal recently. The timing was sent out as 8.30pm in a local restaurant. At 8.30pm, the only cyclists there were 2 american ex-pats and me. The Italians started to arrive from 9pm and we did not start eating till 9.30pm.

Group feeding usually occurs between 6pm and 7pm depending on what else is happening.

I always try to get the evening meal on the table when Mrs VC gets back from work at 5.30.
