I remember as a kid my Dad bought my Mum a new washing machine for her birthday. Doubtless well meaning, but utterly thoughtless at the same time, and my Mum went thermonuclear at him.

About 3 years ago I bought my fianceè's eldest son a Christmas present.
I wasn't there to witness his reaction unfortunately but she said there was much swearing from him and howls of laughter from her dad who was there for the day.

Playing with a Gameboy involves sitting down and using thumbs, I'd rather be stood up drinking or sat down Cycling in my spare time (mostly combining the 2)

Apparently my Dad was a big fan but then he always was a lazy b*gger and my little Sisters Lad loved his at the time but not for me.

My aunt bought me an analog watch because I can't read my digital one without my glasses. Unfortunately she chose one with gold hands and a silver dial. I can't read that without my glasses either.
