Following Eurpol warning issued today on the same subject in the shipping press. My money however would still be on the load point.

That explains why some of the boxes were so heavy, as suggested in my post above. If the theft takes place at the load point, it still needs to look like it took place en route.

True however a lot of load points will not let the driver anywhere near the load when loading now. Driver backs onto the loading bay, keys are taken from him to prevent him from moving and only given back when ready to go. If it is loaded floor to ceiling at the back who knows what has really been loaded.

My money still on the load point or someone at the load point being involved.

Thinking about this some more and it isn't looking good for him is it . Maybe I should have been a bit more sympathetic this morning rather than just saying " F*** your luck trying to explain that one mate "
Still that's what mates are for innit . I may leave the dick turpin jokes and the face mask gift for a while though .

I would hope his tachograph can show he didnt stop enroute and there may be some CCTV at the loading bay that might help him.
But if he has signed to say all goods are on the truck when he left then he may be in a spot of bother.

He did say his tacho and tracker will show he didn't stop off or go off route . That and his word is all he has to go on as he locked the doors and put the security seal over the lock .

Speicher seems very interested in this. I think the boxes were full of chocolate biscuits and she's the guilty party...
Damn! Speicher. Looks like you'll need to flee the country to avoid capture. Try stowing away in a lorry until you are in for'n parts.

It must be horrible to have it happen to you as everyone is looking at you for an answer . I sent him a text asking if he needs me to do anything tomorrow as he went up north to see the police today . I wasn't sure if he would be coming home tonight but just got a reply saying its ok . :heat:

I know that some councils might possibly alledgedly have some daft ideas, but putting grit in cardboard boxes is not one of them, I hope.
