Ex U23 CX World champion Evie Richards even took part..... She won... 😉

Raced CX until I was 15 then stopped as a junior. Approaching 60 now, I'm tempted by local races

I had another go in 2022 just before my 61st birthday, rode 3 races in the South West Scotland series. One of the last finishers and don't recall how many times I was lapped but was great fun. I planned for the following years series but PMR happened so it didn't happen

As regards appeal - It was a race, but no-one cared about what position you finished. Tested my skills on a demanding technical course being cheered on by spectators (even at the back of the field) and had a sense of achievement at the finish.

quite so - and you managed to cheat death by racing with mere rim-brakes. Truly a hero on 2 wheels!!!
