... things that I can't find. The thread title would have to be along the lines of, "Where have I put the damned X?"

Today it is my film weights. I developed two rolls of film, was just about ready to hang them up as usual in the shower to dry and can I find the little clip on weights which make them hang straight? Can I buggery! I know I've put them in a film container but where is the bugger?

Am I alone in enjoying this phenomenon?

A cheque, my tax return form, a roll of masking tape, sooo many black biros, lens cover for camera, a black fleece, a few items the top of my head....
all things that are missing in the last few days, and that I have spent so flipping long looking for.

I have about six pairs of sunglasses on the go, as I keep losing, then finding them.

And I keep on coming upstairs and thinking 'now what did I come up here for?'

I would have donated some to you, but my Big Brother now uses them instead, so no luck unfortunately.

As an aside, I was looking for a book the other day and couldn't find it anywhere. I went to ask if anyone had seen it, and as I did, it suddenly appeared in the bookshelf right in front of me!

I spent all Saturday making the buffers for my 8F, put them in a matchbox, then the phone rang...

Got 2 new pairs of reading glasses last year, 1 pair were photochroms for reading in the sun :becool:

Got a new bed around the same time too and tried new glasses out on the assembly instructions. That was the last time I saw my glasses and I'm still waiting for them to reappear.

I'm forever losing my work mobile. Normally, I just ring the number and then find it by following my ears. Last week I did that, and some bloke answered who I'm pretty sure wasn't me. Turns out, I must have dropped the damn thing whilst unfolding my Brommie outside Newmarket station after I got off the train from Colchester. Anyway, this fellow picked it up and kept it safe for me until I was able to pick it up from him next day- what a top bloke I thought!

We have had a problem with disappearing biros for years now. You buy a new set, and within a week or two they have gone. I have lost count of how many this could possibly involve, but I would like to know exactly just where they end up. They can't simply evaporate into thin air. Can they?

They are all deep, deep under ground, watching this Earth with envious eyes, and slowly but surely, they are drawing their plans* against us!

According to Douglas Adams, they make their way through wormholes in space to a planet where they can enjoy a uniquely biroid way of life.

We have that Pixie here too. Today I put down my keys after letting myself in after my ride. Two hours later i was still looking for them. Then I sat on my favourite armchair.... I know where they are, now... But I'm not sure how to get them back.
