I've always been bemused by Newcastle United. The Toon Army always seem to think that because it's a self-styled "massive" club it is worthy of trophies. IIRC, the last time they won anything was the year I was born.

Liverpool is going the same way. £35m for Andy Carroll? Madness. On that scale I myself, at 43 years of age and well over 20 stones, would be worth a couple of million.

Almost as barking as bringing back Dalglish who won using his predecessor's players and did stuff all donkeys years perviously at....Newcastle!

I am from Leeds. What is this game named football you talk about?

It's a bit like our version, Postie, but they have some sort of net thingie at the end with a man to stop the ball going in accidentally. It's probably got a drain hole in there or something, so it stops the less skilful players having to fork out for a new ball every few weeks.

It's cold, they have to train in biting north-easterly winds in Benton....why would you choose to do that unless you were being paid squillions of our British pounds... by March it'll have warmed up a bit and they can take their beanie hats and gloves off.
