I still wear the winterjacket of my old club which doesn't exist anymore. Just like some tops/winter jackets of my old speedskating club which quite some years agon merged with other clubs. No issues with that.

In my Dad's time, they were probably doing it all the time, but how could you tell?

Any colour as long as it was black.

I wear a Khubeka jersey made by Castelli, which someone gave me in South Africa. Nice jersey and I have nothing to do with Khubeka.

Considering that Team Sky seem to have about 50,000 people riding for them (judging by the number of people I see riding in Sky kit), I wouldn't worry about it!
I was just about to post something similar.

Plenty of people wear the shirt of their football team when they have zero chance of actually playing for them, so if anyone ever asks if you're a club member you can always answer, 'no, I'm just their biggest fan in the whole wide world.'

I haven't ridden with a club for about 2 years now, but I've still got the club jersey. I haven't worn it since leaving the club, but it's there as a backup if I'm behind with my laundry, or I'll maybe wear it under a jacket in cooler weather
Don't have a problem wearing it, would just rather avoid the awkward 'why don't you ride with them anymore?' question

Ok to wear the kit after all you bought it.But you DO have to tell us who it is.

I too am considering not renewing my club subscription, I will still use the club kit, I can't see it causing any concern.
I keep thinking about changing Clubs, as it's more a 'badge of convenience' as I don't ride with mine, and haven't for a lot of years (being 'abandoned' somewhere south of Doncaster, once, 20+ years ago didn't help my mindset)
Thus, if, I decide to start racing 'cross again, I already have Club kit, including skin-suit

Re, changing Clubs comment; I did tag along/was invited to go on a few rides of varying abilities with the local Triathlon Club, but joining was (circa) £50, plus all the new kit, both bike & run, as I don't do the water bit!
I'd change the running club too, for simplicity, as that's £25/year with English Athletics membership
Plus, I think, I'd still need BCF membership for the 3rd party insurance?

Seeing as I already have jerseys (long & short sleeves), bib-shorts, but my bib-tights died recently - too many stitch-ups, it's vastly cheaper just to play the £10/year subs for the present Club

I still wear a club top from a club I was in 1980 ish its a talking point because they have changed the design several times since.
Could I hazard a guess as to which Club, as the has changed since I joined it (about 1990?)

It's a FRC top I sometimes e
wear.

Burgundy with light blue sleeves, I also have a later wind top white and burgundy diagonal stripes but the zips np good.

Thought so
The plain tops were before my time, it was the diagonal stripes, when I joined

They were Assos, at that time
The shorts had those white side-panels, I missed the plain black, with white lettering
I know it states '93, but it may have been earlier, as I bought that RC100 in late 1990
Then again, looking at the shoes (Sidi Dominator) I had the black/blue Sidi CX shoes before them, with the laces & the Velcro 'mud-flap' over them
