Hi All
Does anyone have any experice of buying ex pro bikes?
I came very close to buying an ex Geraint Thomas 2018 (the year he won Tdf) pinarello k10s for around £4200 but didn't and now it has sold, but it got me wondering about ex pro bikes.
My expectation is that although they are ridden fairly hard, they are looked after expertly by team mechanics on a regular basis.
In terms of spec for the price it does look like a good deal when compared to the equivalent non ex pro offerings (only going by ebay and the k10s does seem rare) , and as a massive fan of Geraint I probably would try and buy it again if one came up.
But it got me wondering, and I appreciate it is a hell of a lot of money, would a pinarello k10 with full dura ace di2, wheels, a few other team bits and that kind of history be something others would be interested in if they were in a position to get one?
