Have just excavated several strata down into my panniers and found 3 long-lost pairs of winter gloves, 3 long-lost mini pumps, 1 long-lost merino base layer, 2 pairs of cycling socks, a bag of what were grapes and are now sultanas and half a baguette which Sir Alexander Fleming would certainly take an interest in. I daren't dig any further - who knows what I might find: Piltdown Man? Woolly mammoth? Trilobites?

I'd say that's win-win!
You got your long lost clothing back and you could carry the baguette as an emergency antibiotic, and sultanas are good for you

Looking for green handled secateurs for 6 months. Stupid colour to make them in. In the mean time bought black ones and covered them in silver and red reflective tape. That should stop me loosing these ones....hopefully!

a pal of mine cleaned out the boot of his car to find a bag of cement gone hard which had been there a considerable time.

In the summer of the year that I passed my test, my friends and I plucked up the courage to examine the car boot to find the cause of the god-awful stench that had us all hanging our heads out of the windows. Turns out that my boss had put a load of veggies in there from his allotment for me to take home but forgot to tell me. Did I mention it was summer? xx(
