Hi
This might be a long shot but I made a spreadsheet about three years ago and now can't remember the password, I've tried loads of combinations of things I might have used but no luck. It will be made up of a combination of letters and probably numbers.

Any help on finding a way in would be much appreciated, did a quick search and found out how to remove the read only password so it can be edited but I need to get in first.

What program was used to make the spreadsheet and what is it saved as? .xls 97-2003?

.xls created with Excel 2003

You might be lucky, IIRC the default password protection for older versions of excel was a bit weak!
I've not had to hack an Excel spreadsheet; but have managed an outlook email file before, with the help of some software.
If you get freeware off the 'net, remember to check it for nasties first; this (paid version) seems quite good if you are really desperate

Two claiming to be free (as I said, make sure that you are protected against nasties if you do run these!!)
