I was vaguely aware of some kind of commotion going on at our neighbour's house a couple of hundred yards up the hill from us. Turns out there have been about fifteen patrol cars and an armed response unit besieging the house since 10 o'clock this morning as the bloke has been holed up inside with his girlfriend and a handgun. She left the house at about lunchtime, but last I heard at around 6pm, the police were still trying to talk him out. Who said nothing ever happens in Ross on Wye?;)

Wonder if they'll shoot him.

I'd quite like a gun though. Not that I want to shoot anyone but it would be nice to know that if I did want to shoot someone, I could.

And I thought people like YOU believed this! "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

Nice to see you want to have your cake and eat it. But there's no surprise there, then, is there! B)

Handguns.

Nothing special really.

There's a loud bang and a small clay disc disapears in a cloud of dust.

Shotguns.

Another loud bang and a pheasant falls out of the air.

(*sigh*) There have been times when I've wished for a gun in my hands. Well - an air-rifle with telescopic sight perhaps, more accurate than a handgun. It's those wretched streetlights, you see...
