does anyone know much about them?

my father in law is after an exercise bike with a budget of around £400 but doesnt 'need' to spend that much but wants something decent.

I have no idea about them, so... whats important? flywheel weight?

id imagine a race bike with LCD would be the minimum....

help appreciated where to buy them also

Cheap second hand road bike and turbo, that way he has an option of going out on it.

If not then buy a machine that you can change the saddle on.

I got one used of ebay for £50 programmable, with heart rate sensors speedo, cadence, power output, very sturdy nice bit of kit, there's usually loads on eBay some with very little use.

I got a roger black one off Gum Tree for £50 (about £250 new I think.)

Has a computer display with time speed miles done and resistance on it. Also has some preprogrammed rides with built in "hills" etc.

Definitely needed to change the seat though.

Most people buy them then use them to hang clothes on after a week so some bargains to be had second hand.

oh he's very middle class and would only consider new.

he doesn't get time to get out on the road much anymore, he's always working, he has a lovely trek madone 5.2 in my garage that's been hanging on the wall for 17 months.

he'd never have his bike in the house, he's very ocd.

has to be an indoor exercise bike
Put him in a home for 6 weeks, that'll learn him.

I have done many many '000s of trouble free KMs on one of my York C202 during times of injury and crap weather. Highly recommended (probably need to find the current model)

I got it from Amazon a few years ago, under £200, my brother helped me put it together. It's heavy and sturdy (like me , well heavy)

I would think one of these two is the current equivalent (might get cheaper elsewhere)

Or are you looking for more of a spin type bike, but they don't usually have the electronic type gubbins?

If FiL is also in Kent, there's one of these shops in Tunbridge Wells
