Another vote for Morocco.

Book yourself into a nice Riad in Marrakesh (Riad Kaiss for example) and just hang out. Take a trip out to the coast Essaouira and stay at Riad Al Medina (where Zappa used to stay).

Sooooo boring unless you are into Scuba/snorkelling.
Absolutely nothing to do or see. And no culture.
Just sit on a beach all day and eat and drink yourself stupid.
Mrs Ian loves that type of holiday.. but it was like a prison to me.

You're not wrong, a week is as much as you want, and I possibly won't go back. But if you want to tune out from the world and just be together for a bit then it's fine.

+1 for Cleethorpes. When I lived in Hull, it was a short hop, skip and a jump across the Humber Bridge. Great market. 3 pairs of thermal socks for 99p.
