Joined about a month ago, but have only been looking at the Commuting forum till now.
HELLO EVERYONE ON CYCLE CHAT
By way of an introduction, I thought I'd respond to some of the current threads:
Typical commute - 15 miles round trip on flat, main roads.
I would guess I ride 50cm - 1m from the gutter. I tend to judge it by the width of the road, rather than where the kerb is.
I cycle all year round, but am enjoying this week's warmer weather.
I don't RLJ.
I do wear Ron Hills in the cold.
I don't wear a helmet.
I haven't had an 'off' this winter (so far!). The last time was in freezing fog and was my own fault.
Whilst I'd like to come up with a witty retort when faced with an aggressive driver, my brain doesn't work that fast and I usually find myself swearing.
So for now, ey up from Derbyshire (even though I'm currently at work in Nottingham...)
