What do you wear for eye protection while riding in the rain? No matter what I do with my glasses (Not prescription) wiping with washing up liquid and all the other internet suggestions, I still need windscreen wipers.
I have thought about not wearing any glasses but a little wary of flying foreign objects. What do you do?

I tend to remove my glasses as there seem to be very few insects once it starts raining.

Wipe them with the fuzzy bit of my glove. I only find rain an issue when it's that very fine stuff, heavy rain is a non-issue. I ride wearing a baseball cap so I reckon that helps.

I try to eliminate the root cause of the problem. I just don't ride if it's raining, and I always check the weather before going out for a ride. On changeable weather days as we are currently experiencing, I always try to ride during a dry window. Weather radar rainfall maps are very useful at estimating if there's the opportunity to pop out for an hour and also stay dry. That avoids the vast majority of drenchings, just leaving the odd unforeseen shower to put up with.

Pull the peak of my cap down a bit further to try to keep a little bit of water off the glasses... until they get too wet, then they go in the back pocket!

You cannot eliminate all water; if you want to make some effort, have you tried proper windscreen anti-fog stuff? (Rain-X is one brand, cheaper stuff is available at Halfords/Wilko etc)
IF you take the effort to apply it properly you will get good beading/run-off, which makes things much better.

(In many conditions, peaked-cap helps a lot. But not all.)

Prescription transition Oakleys, definitely cannot see without them (I do my best to avoid riding in the rain however!)

I tend to wipe - mainly MTB, so add in mud, so have to be careful. Downside with MTB'ing and rain, is you climb at a much slower speed, and your glasses can fog, especially with the heat generated. Bit of a problem, when you've got a tricky descent. Mine are prescription RX inserts on Oakley copies.

On the road peak down on the cap. Off road helmet has a peak and washing up liquid helps to stop fogging but need to rub with back of a glove occasionally. If it is really bad take them off. More of an issue if you are with others on the MTB as guards don't offer the same level of protection to the person behind.

I'll probably end up wishing I didn't type this but touch wood I gave up wearing glasses when on the bike some time ago and it's been great with no disasters befalling me, even in the rain. Give it a go, you might like it.

Bolle clear safety glasses when it's mild rain, with a wipe of the glove occasionally.
When it gets really heavy they come off and a cap goes on, peak down. There's no insects in the air anyway once it's really banging down.
