Eye strain?

Couple of hours on the bike today, and after about an hour I started having really bad what I could best describe as eye strain or almost like that migraine that you can get around your eye sockets. Anyone dealt with this? Wonder if it's my cheapo road sun glasses. I don't have any eye problems or migraine problems. Issue receeded once I got back.

Could be dehydration but if it happens again I would make an appointment with the doc.

Try cycling without the sun glasses and see if the condition recurs.
I once had a pair of cycling glasses that gave me the feeling of sitting half a metre higher than I actually was. There was something wrong with the lens curvature...... I dumped them and have never had a recurrence,

Try wearing the glasses at home for a couple of hours.

Could be just poor quality lenses, I always ride with good quality non prescription glasses, like Globalti says, try them at home, I use bifocal (reading glasses) safety specs and these also give me eyestrain if I wear them too long

Going by advice I have received from a registered osteopath and having had almost identical symptoms myself, try a riding position that doesn’t involve bending your neck backwards if the problem continues.

Do they fit correctly so that they don't pinch the top of the nose or arms push in tight to the head?
