Has anyone heard of it? It is supposed to be a new way of fixing punctures by screwing two plastic plates over the hole. Ref: Bike Radar and You Tube. The cost is £11.99 and is only available by mail order.

I can't see how that is any easier than sticking on a patch.
Quite apart from the fact the website name appears to have been picked by a texting obsessed 12 year old

Looks based on the clamseal that is used to do emergency repairs on inflatable boats.
works on them but I think ill stick to patches.

Obviously you guys haven't tried fixing a puncture after a 12 hour shift in the pissing down rain in the dark. Plus it's re-usable so will last longer than the glue in an opened glue tube.

A great idea and I've ordered a set.

I'm interested to hear your feedback after you use it.

But would you be fixing one in those circumstances or just bunging another tube in?

I don't get it. The hard part of fixing a puncture is finding the hole not sticking the patch on... Besides glueless patches work brilliantly and don't further damage your inner tube and how do you repair your second puncture?

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Looks like it would take up a lot of room in the saddle pack - and I'm not going to start carrying knives and screwdrivers in jersey pockets. Don't really see what advantages it has over usual patches, or simply fitting a new tube - not even cheaper - 4 patches for £12, when you can get excellent tubes for around £2 a time.

If its dark, hissing it down and in a dodgy area, out comes a new tube and a co2 inflater. I patch tubes at home.
Isn't it more simply, if you have a puncture?

I'd never fix a puncture by the roadside unless I was on a very long ride and had run out of tubes.
