Hi, yesterday i bought a bike... F. moser bike... and that's all i know. I need help in identificating how old this bike is and is it something rare i should keep under a pillow or just a fun bike to ride. Also did i made a good deal buying this bike for 250$. The guy i bought this bike from said that this frame is like 30 years old. (???) The whole bike is on Shimano's 600 group, but i don't know if it was installed here originally. Frameset is quite uniqe because it's like narrowing to the inside of the frame. Soo i hope for your help, peace.

54 I would expect to be size ?
And should be date codes on the Shimano bits
Nice colour scheme

I guess yeah, the 54 is the size because i'm 185cm tall and the bike is a bit low for me.

The only numbers i can see on the shimano bits are FC-6400 on the crank, BR-6403 on brakes, RD-6401 on rear and front derailleurs. So the whole group is for sure an Ultegra from between 1988 and 1998.

And yup i know, colours are crazy. 90's style in a nutshell. I like it tho but i'm gonna change the tires to something more black and yellow.

Wasn't 600 the precursor of Ultegra?

Yeah the 600 group is the younger Ultegra's bro. It says on Wikipedia that it was transformed to Ultegra in 1998, but even before it was named 600 - Ultegra.

Yep, tricolour was Ultegra 600 FC 6400 if I recall. Is the seat post a funny quill design?
Yup, it is, it's pretty cool cause i can leave the bike in front of a shop and no one thief will get how to unscrew my seatpost. Lol

So guys how much you'd say this bike is worth? I've searched all the shimano bits on ebay an in total the're for like ~360$. So how much is a reasonable price for this bike betting that the frame is from 90's and the bike is serviced well by me? I don't really know if these wheels are anythin special, but it says "HAND MADE" and "TRAINING" on them.

The 54 number is the frame size. I have two Mosers, one is 56, other is 54.
i think it would be circa 90’s.
i have a late 70’s/ early 80’s moser and also a later 80’s moser.
