We have Sky HD and although we don't subscribe to the sports channels, the F1 channel is provided as part of the HD stuff, so didn't cost anything over what we're already paying.

The coverage was excellent and I found Damon Hill to be far superior to that kid's TV presenter that the Beeb were using last season. I just couldn't get away with him and unusually for me, he didn't grow on me.

bizarrely i didnt like jake humphreys to begin with but he grew on me! eddies shirts where marvelous though! lol

I like it, although I prefer Jordan and the Scottish One, to Hill.

And I don't think you can compare the viewing figures for the BBC and Sky because not a lot of pople have got Sky compared to just having a TV and a license.

FWIW I got SS for the footie, darts, cricket and ten pin bowling. the fact that now I can watch the F1 is an added bonus.

Found the coverage on BBC on Sunday quite good but don't plan to get Sky just for the F1 so I will just have to miss a few races:cry: .

So found his true vocation as he wasn't much good as a driver.

Won a world championship. Not the best British driver of all time by any means, even among British single champions (or those that didn't win it) but sadly quite a few of them died young - Hawthorne, Clark, Graham Hill and James Hunt.

Probably the fairest comparison you could do on whether he was no good as a driver is 1993 vs 1997 Hill vs H-H Frentzen. It was after all Frank's idea to replace him with Frentzen. Hill won 3 races and accumulated 69 points, Frentzen a single victory and 42 points. Not as bad as people think.

I find sky a rip off, you already pay for it, then they charge more to see a boxing match or some other thing, that they are broadcasting.
