Generally no. I don't like it as it causes minor skin issues. The Lad (now 22) has serious excema and needs to avoid conditioner AND biological laundry liquid.

Mrs B uses it when washing her woollen pullovers and cardi's - on a seperate load from anything of mine.

I don't wear wool against skin, except the less than one day a year I wear a suit, cos of itchiness.

Some years ago, after reading the classic Atmospheric Black Metal Kitchen blog about the "laundromancy" involved in keeping ones t-shirts as black as the pits of hell, I avoided fabric softener for a couple of weeks until I found I could no longer get my socks on.

I generally just shove a bit of everything in and thump a few buttons after throwing everything into random piles that look like I've separated stuff.

You can overthink things you know.
You can also end up with baby pink collars on all your Rugby shirts. I hear.
