Only use it to keep in touch with a few friends 'down south' now.

After reducing usage to a minimum I have finally deleted my Facebook Account. I have to resist the temptation. To reinstate it in the next 30 days but once more I am free. Anybody else broken the Facebook addiction many of us have had?
Well done, it gets easier after a week, then you forget about it.

I binned it ages ago, unless it’s insisted upon by certain charities and the like, if I’m doing a ‘project ride’ Even then it’s literally just kept at an absolute minimum to keep them happy, and binned afterwards. I don’t find it remotely useful or interesting.

These threads do make me laugh though. Congratulations on overcoming your addiction to social media, and telling us all about it on social media.

Cake or ice cream? The choice is endless ...
I deleted FB a couple of years ago but then, about a year later, signed up again. This time, I was more selective in who I accepted as 'friends'.
I now have 25 friends and family on my list, rather than the previous 150, many of whom I'd almost forgotten how I knew them.

Binned Facebook and the smartphone about 2.5 years ago. Don't miss either.

Apart from Cov Dave, we don't get photos of people's lunch on CycleChat, so the comparison is pretty weak.

Enough technology that I'm contactable, but not so much that I'm a sad smart phone zombie.
